The Galaxy S25 series Is officially available in stores around the world today (February 7), and a remarkable feature is that all models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 elite chips. There is a big change from last year when some S24 and S24 plus variants had exynos chips. Now it seems that Samsung can get closer to Exynos-driven Galaxy S26 models.
Korean sale Clock (H/T: Jukanlosreve on Twitter) reports that Samsung has achieved a return of more than 30% in test production of 2NM Exynos 2600 processor. The return rate refers to the percentage of produced pieces that work fully.
What does this mean for the galaxy S26?
Reports from mid -2024 noted that Exynos 2500 had only returns of 20% At that time, 60% or higher for mass production was required. So it sounds like the production of the new chip can be in better condition.

It is believed that Samsung chose the Snapdragon 8 elite in all Galaxy S25 series phones due to Exynos 2500’s poor returns. So if the Exynos 2600 already has a higher return rate, it is an encouraging sign for the company if it wants the chip in some Galaxy S26 models.
Qualcomms Snapdragon chips have long been the best choice For enthusiasts over Samsung’s internal exynos silicon, due to superior performance. However, the recent Snapdragon 8 elite chip saw a price increase over the predecessor, but Samsung was still able to maintain the same pricing as last year’s phones. However, using an exynos chip in some Galaxy S26 series models can help Samsung refrain from price increases, increase profitability or open the door for more upgrades in other areas.
