- Spotify is working on a feature to import your music.
- At the moment, the service offers no way to import music from other services.
- We also discovered a URL for the function.
Jumping from one music service to another can be hurt for several reasons. Losing the playlists you used all that time to make can be the greatest pain of all. If you want to switch to SpotifyThis will be the position you will find yourself in the page it does not offer an import tool. But that may change in the future.

At the moment, if you want to import your music into Spotify, is the only way to do it through a third -party service. And more often than not the third parties will charge you to use their service. So if you don’t want to waste money, just spend time rebuilding these playlists.
However, we noticed strings of code in the Spotify app (version 9.0.56.459) with reference to a feature that will allow you to import music. According to these strings, the feature will appear in the “Your Library” tab. In addition we found one Url related to the function that hides in the code. Surprisingly, the URL is not yet live.

We are unclear with exactly how this would work, all that it will let you import, and where, but we can speculate. Although there is no direct mention of playlists, we can imagine that it will include import of playlists, as it would be the main use case for a tool like this.
Although Spotify does not currently have an import function, it has the opportunity to detect and view local music files. But we do not believe that function, and this feature is linked in any way.
