We are quickly on our way to Samsung’s big launch month for the next set of premium folding phones. This year Galaxy Z Fold 7 Expected to be Samsung’s thinnest and largest screen foldable yet. But Samsung is not the only one to launch a new Foldie. Honor has made it explicitly clear that it is going for Sammy’s lunch with its new ultra-thin Magic V5.
Earlier today, the company announced that Honor Magic V5 will be “the world’s thinnest folding smartphone.” Honor did not chop words and said that the new foldable “is designed to directly challenge the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 7,” and will offer “a compelling alternative for users seeking groundbreaking designs, performance and portability.”
Magic V5 will be unveiled on July 2 in China but we Expect it to be available in other countries in the future. The launch is strategically timed just days ahead of Samsungs Expected July 9 Galaxy unpacked unveiling For Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
While honor has not revealed the exact dimensions of the Magic V5 is the previous Magic V3 Foldable had a record 9.3 mm thickness. The V5 is expected to be thinner and measures below 9 mm, which is crispy for a folding phone. Only Oppo Finn N5 Have managed to achieve this so far, with a thinness of 8.93 mm. Can Magic V5 hit it? We have to wait and watch.
Elsewhere, Honor Magic V5 is expected to contain a 200MP Periscope Tele camera, a 6,100 mAh battery with 66W charging, and Snapdragon 8 elite chips. The phone is also rumored to have an 8-inch main display with a 6.45-inch cover.
Unfortunately, honoring its units in the United States does not sell, so if you hope to pick up a state page, you probably need to import it through third -party dealers.
