- Google has been working on its notebooklm Research Assistant since 2023.
- So far, the only way to access the versatile tool has been through a large network interface.
- Now Notebooklm is getting ready for smaller screens, as Google confirms app development.
If you are not yet using Google’s wonderful Notebooklm Research assistant, what are you waiting for? The AI tool is not just for academics, and the way it can digest frames with information and quickly answer questions makes it useful for many things in daily life, like as Reading of product manuals So you don’t need. If you like the idea of notebooklm, at least, and have just been waiting for a better mobile version of it, you may be lucky, as Google confirms that a notebooklm app is on the way.
Notebooklm debuted as an online tool, and it takes full advantage of Big PC screens with its expansive wood panel layout: all your source material on the left, the chat panel in the middle to interact with the service’s LLM, and studio to the right to set up your outputs.
It does not mean that it is useless on phones and we have already shown you how to streamline access by visiting the website in Chrome on Android and selecting Add the home screen from your browser menu. Although it works in a pinch, this is a less than ideal solution, and we have wondered when Notebooklm can get the right smartphone treatment.
Apparently the answer is “soon” as Google’s official Notebooklm The X account posted under a reshare earlier today, the “Notebooklm app will come soon!”
Just how Soon some are guessing, but we’ve already seen Google show an active interest in spreading some of the Notebooklm love over other corners of the ecosystem – like To bring audio charts to Gemini. Given, it’s just a facet of the entire Notebooklm experience, but Google clearly thinks about new homes for these tools.
Are you already a notebooklm user? Would an app convince you to try it? Share your experience (or lack of them) down in the comments.
