Commissioner Crenshaw said: “Does the envisaged change protect investors, capital markets and national security? This is critical given the increased risks associated with cryptographic assets, including their speculative nature. If the intention is to create a special rule for cryptographic assets, how can these assets be clearly defined and differentiated from other types of assets to which these rules cannot apply? ”

The acting president, Mark Uyeda, begins the discussion by taking up the challenges faced by digital assets. Said “market players, academic decision -makers and regulators are still struggling with critical issues related to the state of these assets”.
