- The device is expected to be available in mid -April and retail for $ 75.
Nintendo ds -emulation Has been stable for years, but modern devices are not equipped to get the most out of the two-screen. Usually a screen is either smaller or both appears side by side, with compromises in gameplay for both. Magicx Zero 40 presents a new solution to the problem, and it takes large design queues from Nintendo 2DS.
The new handheld mainly changes the display 90 degrees to offer a large vertical room. The two screens from Nintendo DS then appear on top of each other. Magicx released a video demonstrating How this works earlier this week, which you can see above. The higher screen can also be great for vertical shooters, which may explain the inclusion of a single joystick.
This approach is similar to what Nintendo did with Nintendo 2DS. Despite the performances, it used a single screen panel, mostly hidden behind a smart case design.
Magicx Zero 40 gives a new approach to Nintendo DS emulation, but there are some weird.
Magicx Zero 40 is run by the Allwinner A133P chipset, a budget chipset found in popular Linux devices that Trimui smart pro and Trimui brick. It should handle Nintendo DS games just fine, but the Nintendo 3DS game is probably out of reach. The device also does not send a stylus, but without protective screen coating of original DS machine, you will use something softer designed for phones.
When we talk about the screen, it has a slightly difficult resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. This means that integer recording of native 256 x 192 games is impossible, so you will either have stretched pixels or black rods on the sides. Regardless, the IPS screen should be significantly better than the LCD screens on the original DS.
Magicx Zero 40 is expected to be available for purchases starting in mid -April on a Price around $ 75. Magicx is a new player in Retro gaming handheld Space, but with interesting designs like this, it can quickly give a name for itself.
