Android Authority Contributor Assembledebug discovered the ability to put emojis or monograms as contact images in Google contacts App (version 4.48.27.720364420). I don’t see this on my own phone yet, so this can be a gradual release at first. You can still check out the screens below.
The monogram option allows you to choose a maximum of two letters for the contact’s image, but can also fine -tune the color, background color of the monogram, background color and font. Google also offers an “Inspire ME” button to automatically enter font and background color.
Meanwhile, the Emoji option allows you to specify any emoji as a contact image, even if only a single emoji can be used. You can also set the background color here or choose a “monochrome” exchange.
