Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 would have its first software update with the new ‘Bud Return’ feature

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 It is receiving its first software update. The latest wireless stereo headset of the company (TWS) was released in India in August 2024, next to the Pixel Watch 3 and pixel 9 Series of Smartphones. The Mountain View -based technology giant has not yet announced the release of the update or published a detailed Changelog. Among several other reports reported, updated software should correct a volume control problem with the headset.

9to5google Reports That owners of Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 have begun to receive the first software update since the launch of the TWS headset. It was released with Firmware version 2.117, for both the left and right headphones and for the loading case. A REDDITOR shared a screengrab from a software update, where the left and right headphones are seen in version 3.144.

To check if you have access to the update yet, open the Google pixel buds Complementary application and then touch More Settings > Firmware update. If you have not yet come an update for your Pixel Buds Pro 2, it is likely to arrive in the coming days as it is being released to globally in lot users.

The publication also states that the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 firmware update takes less than 10 minutes when connected to any pixel or Android smartphone that runs Android 6.0 or more recent. After the update is installed, users will second See a new Bud return feature that informs users when “sprouts are properly placed in the case”. Users can also receive alerts when the battery is low, charging begins or when the buttons are paired.

Recently, a product expert at the Pixel Aid Forum shoots declared That an “update released in the coming weeks” will address a volume control problem. Users were complaining of not being able to adjust the volume of headphones using the paired device’s volume buttons.

There were also complaints of random disconnections. The software update to Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 should correct some of these problems. However, as Google has not yet officially announced the update, there is no official Changelog available at the moment to confirm that it includes these corrections.
