Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) On Friday signed a contract with a telecommunications company to improve internet connectivity in all its corridors, according to an official statement.
As part of this initiative, Beckhaul Digital Technologies Private Limited will be 700 km of fiber optic cables on all subway lines, including the airport line, he said.

The launch will take place in phases, with the rose and magenta lines being the first to be released in the air, and the rest expects to be ready in the next six months, according to the statement.
The fiber network will act as a backbone for the high -speed internet, support for telecommunications companies, internet service providers, data centers and intelligent city projects. It will also help in the soft launch of 5G services in Delhi-NCR, he said.
This initiative supports the vision of the government of India for a digitally connected nation, according to the statement.
It will help telecommunications companies offer faster and more reliable internet, allowing DMRC to make better use of its existing infrastructure.
