- Google has rolled out a few changes to the Contacts app.

Google has released an update to the contacts app for Android It makes a few small but remarkable changes. Your current backup and synchronization status is now more prominent, and it is a new way to access the alternation that allows you to synchronize.
Discovered by 9to5googleVersion 4.49 of the Google Contacts app has added a new card to the organizing tab. At the top of the page you will now see the card with your e -mail address in the top line, followed by how many contacts are on your Google account below. Below you can see how long it has been since the previous synchronization.
You will also find an info icon on the right explaining:
Contacts stored with your Google account are automatically synchronized with this device and are available across Google Services anywhere you register, including contacts.google.com.
If you look under the card, you will see an option “Google Contacts Sync Settings”. By tapping on this option, you will be led to a page where you can switch Google contacts synchronized by or off. The old way to get to this page involved on the way to the Google Contacts settings.
The latest change found in the latest version of the app concerns the account. This page seems to no longer list each registered account by default. To see the list, you must now tap on Chevron to expand it.
This change does not come long after it was discovered That users can now set emoji and monograms as contact images in the app. If you haven’t seen this change yet, check out our screens.
