- Android allows users to set up a pair of locking screen for quick access to system tools.
- Today’s first Android Canary release adds a new shortcut “now plays” to your available options.
Locking the smartphone is an important step that practically everyone should take, and help protect your device and keep your private information safe. And while the lock screen serves a critical role, it also makes access to everything on our phone so much slower. Fortunately, Google has offered a few ways to damp that influence, and perhaps the most useful there is Android’s support for Lock screen narcas. With today’s release of the first public Android Canary Building, we’ve seen the company’s latest.

With the new Android Canary release, we have seen the presence of a new option “now plays”.
Google has provided Android users a few different solutions to identify songs over the years, including Now plays on pixel phones – Although it has been a bit crazy lately. We have recently seen evidence that developers have been a little more aware of the tool but worked with things like a Fast setting tiles. And now this lock screen feels like it perfectly fits that kind of effort.
Right now, your only way to try this is even installing an Android Canary building on Pixel 6 or later, but considering Google’s expensive system stability warning, you should not feel remotely badly poorly preferred to wait for things until this is available in a slightly more stable form.
