YouTube is preparing to update the income policy for creators. Although the company has not yet updated the guidelines for YouTube -Partner Program (YPP), Techcrunch has discovered Help documentation It outlines the changes to come. In particular, the creators are required to upload “original” and “authentic” content to make money.
The update states:
To make money as part of the YouTube Partner program (YPP), YouTube has always required the creators to upload “original” and “authentic” content. The change is scheduled to come into force on July 15, 2025. To indicate concern that this may affect certain types of content, such as reactions or videos containing clips, published YouTube Chief of Editorial and Creator Connection, Rene Ritchie, a video to clarify what the change means.
