The Ehrenhöhle -ophthalmological Center will open its doors in June in June in Cahors Sud. Experienced and sometimes ultra -specialized members of the health professions are expected on site.
The project takes place in sight. After five years of reflection and a year of work in the Cahors Sud Zone, the place of the new Ophthalmology Center Honoré Cave touches its end and should open its doors in June. “We are in the last phase, everything is set up,” explains Vincent Gualino, D.CEO from CLinische Honoré cave. The building is fifteen minutes from the city center and near the A20 motorway and was expected by Lotois to cope with the medical desert and the lack of ophthalmologists in the department.
In this brand new building of 2300 m², patients are cared for by experts who run between Montuban and Cahors. “We are in the latest details,” said Vincent Gualino. If the device is not yet installed, the structure of the building is over. “There is a big month of installing the machines and the connection to the various software,” notes the Gérard Marre project architect. The patients can enjoy an excellent view of an airfield route in the waiting room via a large window. “All surfaces were calculated to take up people and have space,” added the architect.
An ambitious project in the field
“The goal is to provide our technical skills to react to the medical desert, but also to offer a service of excellence and quality for patients,” says the general director of the Honoré Cave Clinic. “The center of the Cahors will be a local and advanced structure to practice under the best possible conditions.” Patients from Dordogne and Corrèze Valley are also expected in this center. “We have a massive influx of patients from these regions, we needed the tools that are necessary to satisfy their demand.”

Ultra-specialized doctors in their field will be on site as available Pediatric ophthalmology, strabology (surgery of strabismus), cataract surgery or refractive surgery. However, no operation is carried out on site, but only a consulting center. The ophthalmologist group behind this initiative will be able to recruit young specialists in the coming years. “You believe in this project, so you invested a lot to achieve this result,” she said, “she said,” she said, “she said,” she said Vincent Gualino.
A “increase” month after month
According to the director of the Christelle Fekenne Center, registration for the appointment will be opened shortly, with time windows that will open up and after the health professions for adapting and finding the best possible pace. “A pause period enables a gradual increase in activity. Ideally we will achieve permanent activity in 2026,” concludes Vincent Gualino.
