Dolby announced on Thursday the launch of the first Dolby cinema in India. Located on the Pride City multiplex in Kharadi, Pune, the country’s first dolby cinema is equipped with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The cinema will be opened on Friday and Jurassic World Rebirth will be the first movie to be screened in the 310-seat auditorium, featuring a wall curved screen to the ceiling. Dolby previously announced that he will release five more Dolby cinemas in the country in the coming months.
Dolby Cinema presents a 60 speakers configuration with dolby atmos
The São Francisco audio and image technology company announced the launch of India’s first Dolby cinema in Pune. The auditorium is designed to show 2D and 3D movies and is equipped with the 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos 4K Laser Projection System.
Dolby Cinema is a premium -shaped movie experience that includes Dolby’s High Dynamic High Line (HDR) technology called Dolby Vision and its three -dimensional sound -based design technology called Dolby Atmos. For an immersive experience, the theater comes with a “wall to ceiling wall” curved screen, the acoustic treatment for the living room and reclining seats with clear vision lines and reduced ambient light.
The screen opens to the public on Friday, with Jurassic World Rebirth being the first film to be presented in the auditorium. The company has partnered with Bookmyshow to reserve on -line tickets. Dolby Cinemas will provide viewers exclusive offers and special views in the coming days.

So far, India has over 1,000 theaters of films supported by Dolby Atmos. However, the new auditorium in Pune is the first in the country with a Dolby vision screen. The company also plans to present five more Dolby movie screens in the country in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Trichy, Kochi and Uikkal.
