Earlier this month, the world of cheap mobile phone plans got an interesting new competitor. Trump Mobile debuted June 16, and while most of the attention has been focused on Its controversial $ 499 Android phoneThe second component of the Trump-driven mobile brand is a new unlimited cell plan, marketed as the “47 plan.”

For $ 47.45 per month, Trump Mobile Provides you unlimited conversation, text and data, plus international calls to 100 other countries and hotspot support. On your own it is fine, but it does not take long for the warn lights to start flashing.

First, you only get 20 GB high -speed data, without information given on what happens after you reach that limit. There is also no mention of HD -Videostreaming or international data. Furthermore, there is conflicting information about Trump Mobile uses AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile Towers for their cell service, or whether it uses exclusively T-Mobile. Simply put, Trump Mobile does not make a good first impression.

Although you can try your luck with Trump Moby’s 47 plan, I would really not recommend you. Think of these five options you should register for instead.

Which Trump -mobile option would you choose?

Us mobile

If a cell carrier with the US-themed is what you are looking for, you stop looking at Trump Mobile and direct your attention to us. Not only does it have a cooler Eagle/American Flag logo, but it’s also just an infinitely better carrier in every imaginable way.

US Mobile has a few plans to choose from, although the most comparable to the 47 plan is its unlimited premium plan. You get unlimited talk, text and priority data with coverage Driven by your choice of AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon Towers. By default, use one of these at a time and can switch to another network one handful of times per month. Alternatively, you can get the addition with multiple networks, which put two of the networks on your phone at the same time, with unlimited, automatically switch depending on which one has better coverage at all times. It’s a serious cool feature.

Beyond that, US Mobile’s unlimited premium plan also has unlimited hotspot data, a free smartwatch plan, international conversation and subtitles, and up to 20 GB of international data. In addition, if you have three or more unlimited premium plans in a family account, you can get a free subscription to services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Disney Plus and more.

The would part? Despite being so much better than Trump Mobile, the US mobile is also cheaper. The unlimited premium plan normally costs $ 44/month, but right now you can get it for just $ 35/month. Alternatively, you can pay $ 348 in advance for a year’s service, which works for the corresponding $ 29/month. And taxes and fees are included in these prices – another thing you don’t get with Trump Mobile.

Google

While US Mobile is the only carrier on this list using AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Towers, it doesn’t do the only Trump-Mobile option you should consider. If you are OK just rely on T-Mobile Service Google Is one of the best options out there.

Although some of the other carriers on this list also use T-Mobile Service, Google FI is the only one prioritized at the same level as T-mobile’s own postpaid plans. In other words, in times of networking when many people use the T-Mobile Towers, Google Fi customers should see much better data rates than people using something like Tello. It is a very nice advantage to have.

Of the available Google Fi plans, Unlimited Standard is my favorite option for Trump Mobile 47 plan. It is about the same price for $ 50/month (currently for sale for only $ 25/month) and includes unlimited talk, text and data with 50 GB high -speed data. You also get 25 GB high-speed hotspot use, free smartwatch connection, international call and texting and free data in Canada and Mexico.

Alternatively, if you are doing well with only 30 GB high-speed data (still more than Trump Mobile) and no hotspot support or international coverage, Unlimited Essentials plan is a great, cheaper alternative to $ 35/month (currently discounted to just $ 17.50/month). No matter what plan you choose is one of a better choice than Trump Mobile.

Tello

There is a lot to like with Google Fi, especially with 50% off sales on time right now. But what if you want an unlimited mobile phone plan that normally costs $ 25/month without special discounts in limited time? If so, you will think about signing up for Tello.

Tello lets you customize your mobile plan with your preferred amount of monthly data and conversation minutes, but if we compare it with the unlimited nature of Trump Mobile’s 47 plan, we might as well go out with unlimited conversation, text and data. This includes 35 GB high -speed data, 5 GB of use of hotspot and free international conversation to 60+ countries. It’s not the most exhaustive mobile plan out there, but you get all this (on the T-Mobile’s network) for just $ 25/month is an incredibly good deal.

There is really not much more to say about Tello. The unlimited plan gives you more high -speed data than Trump Mobile at a much lower price. As long as you do not need to use the phone internationally (which Trump Mobile does not allow), Tello’s unlimited plan is a choice without good.

Visible

Google Fi and Tello are good options if you live in an area of reliable T-Mobile service, but what if you want something about Verizon’s network? In that case, I would highly recommend checking out visible. It is the carrier I recently switched to After a decade of T-Mobile, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Visible’s most expensive plan, and the nearest Trump Mobile of, is visible plus professional. It costs $ 45/month (currently discounted to $ 40/month) and – tell me if you’ve heard this story before – is so Much better than the 47 plan. As expected, it includes unlimited talk, text and “premium data”, which is not thrown unless you spend more than 450 GB in a single month. It also has unlimited hotspot data, a free smartwatch plan and excellent international conversation/roaming features. If you are fine with slower hotspot speeds and less international support, visible two other plans you give you a few victims of a lower monthly bill.

There are a few other nice benefits of visible. All plans include taxes/fees in the listed price, which is always practical. In addition, if you subscribe to Verizons Fios Home Internet, each visible plan comes with a $ 15/month discount on the Internet bill. I have been visible for about two months now, and given the choice between it and Trump Mobile, I would have chosen visible every single time.

Boost mobile

Last but not least, if none of the above carriers seems the correct fit for you, perhaps Boost mobile would be a good choice. Boost Mobile has a couple of plans that compare very well with Trump Mobile, and depending on what your mobile plan needs is, can either be a fantastic choice.

We start with the unlimited base. It is a fairly standard offer, with unlimited conversation, text and data with a high -speed data cap of 30 GB per month. And … it’s basically it! It’s about as simple as unlimited plans come, but the magic is in the price. Your first three months are $ 15/month, and from then on you only pay $ 25/month with a guarantee that your price will never increase. If you just want the basics, it’s a killer alternative.

If you need a little more out of your phone plan, unlimited plus is probably a better fit for you. Once again, you have unlimited conversation, text and data, with increased high -speed data allocation of 40 GB per month. You also get mobile hotspot support, as well as global texting and rings to over 200 countries. Having this plan also unlocks Boost’s telephone agreements, with savings up to $ 300. You get all this for $ 50/month, which is not the absolute best deal ever, but it is still far more competitive than Trump Mobile.

It is worth noting that unlike the other carriers mentioned here, Boost Mobile has its own cell tower. Boost Moby’s coverage is surprisingly extensive, and if you are in an area without Boost Towers, you get roaming coverage from AT&T or T-Mobile.

Don’t sign up for Trump Mobile

From a pure features/value perspective, Trump Mobile is quite easily beaten by a number of other phone plans. It is too expensive, the computer clock is low, and mixed messages like cell towers power Trump Mobile is far from ideal. And that is to say nothing about Liberty Mobile Company that Trump Mobile apparently is “driven” by, if Common questions about the site Is funny unfinished and filled with “What is Lorem Ipsum?” question.

Does Trump Mobile make the absolute worst mobile phone plan you can sign up for? I’m sure you can find something worse if you look hard, but that doesn’t mean Trump Mobile is good. The price is not right, the features are not there and you can find so many better plans from so many other carriers.

More competition is always a good thing, but given the choice between Trump Mobile and the carriers on this list, I see no scenario where Trump Mobile beats any of them.
