Google rolls out a brand new app called “Dopp.” The experimental app is designed to help you imagine how different outfits can look at you, without having to physically try them. Dopppl is available today on iOS and Android in the United States, and is part of Google Labs, a branch of the company dedicated to testing new apps and tools.
So what does Dopple do? Google notes in its Blog post That Doppl allows you to upload a picture or even a screenshot of an outfit you like, and creates a digital, animated version of you using it. So if you see a cool jacket on a friend or a great look on social media, just snapping an image and Doppl will give you an AI-generated preview of what it may look like on your body.
The app can also make photos for short videos and give you a better idea of how an outfit can move and feel. You can also save your favorite look and share them directly from the app.
Doppl is based on Google shoppingThe virtual experimental feature, but takes things a step further with a standalone app that is easier to use and offers multiple features.
Google notes that Dopppl is still in the first few days, so the results may not be 100% accurate when it comes to fit or clothing details.
