After including a quiet switch on each iPhone model since the original, Apple dropped it in favor of an customized button that started with the iPhone 15 Pro models in 2023. Although the move was met with a certain disappointment, Apple did not change and expand the change to all four iPhone 16 Models last year. OnePlus followed recently and replaced the iconic notification slider with a customized button on OnePlus 13s. Now a new leak suggests that another Android brand can soon jump on the customized Bandwagon button.
Tipster Smart pikachu Recently took to Webo to reveal that Vivo’s upcoming X Fold 5 compound will have a customized button. A vibrant image of the smartphone displays three buttons on the side, including the volume lower, the power button with an integrated fingerprint scanner and the new customized button.
The leak also shows us the customization interface for this button, which looks striking as the iOS setting page for the action button. The icons in this interface suggest that users will be able to dampen X -Fold 5, start the camera, turn on the flashlight, perform a song search and activate DND with this button, among other things.
