- Last year’s launch of Pixel 9 was in August, after years of launching October.
- With Android 16 expected in early June, a launch at the end of June/early July feels plausible.
If you are not already a big fan of Pixel smartphones, this year is to start changing the tune. Google’s move to get TSMC to produce Tensor g5 chip that will operate its Pixel 10 -Series Has the potential to be the most effective change we have ever seen in terms of pixel performance. And we are already quite happy with Android 16, which is probably just days away from hitting stable. So with the software almost here, when can we expect the hardware to come? We still do not have a precise date, but a new Google Teaser has the launch that looks like it is coming sooner rather than later.
Google’s Pixel Superfans program Is exactly the way it sounds, offering the most foolish pixel enthusiasts a chance to feel closer to the action than many smartphone users could ever dream of. That means occasionally accessing some exclusive events, and earlier today we became aware of a new message that hits Superfans inboxes:
Google invites them to apply for a shot to win one of 25 slot machines to attend a Pixel event before publishing scheduled for June 27. And while Google is not out and says “Pixel 10” anywhere here, it’s not really a long list of alternative devices we can talk about.
You may remember that the latest Pixel launches have taken place in early October, although last year Google saw things sliding things up to August for the Pixel 9 series. There seems to be a pattern that continues, from the early release of First Android 16 Previews, to the Mars launch of Pixel 9a – Two months ahead of Pixel 8as debut the year before.
As such, it is not crazy to think of an introduction of the Pixel 10 family at the end of June/early July. We had kicked around August again as an opportunity before, but based on what we see today, it feels like Google’s schedule can be even more advanced.
Of course, it is possible that Google’s cosiness here can hide a bigger secret, and maybe it really has something that is not Pixel 10 to show off. But based on the momentum we have witnessed over the last few months of Google Sliding Release Schedules Up earlier, Pixel 10 is definitely the safe effort here. It is also possible that this early look the super tabs may just be very, very Early, and a launch of August may still be in the cards. Hopefully we learn something a little more concrete when June gets started.
