- Sony may have outsourced the production of the flagship phones.
- The company has removed the term “smartphones” from the list of products on its production -focused websites in Thailand and China.

Over the years, Sony has increasingly distanced itself from the smartphone market. The company is currently dependent on third -party producers to make middle area Offer. Although the outsourced production of the middle phones, Sony has at least continued to work with the High-End Xperia line. But it looks like Sony may have decided that it is no longer interested in making premium phones either.
According to the report from Smartphone digestSony has stopped producing its own Xperia phones. The company has now removed the term “smartphones” from the list of devices on its production -focused websites in Thailand and China.
This does not necessarily mean that Xperia is dead, only that Sony will not be the company that produces them anymore. Just as with its mid-tones phones, Sony seems to have handed over the keys to a third-party producer. Reportedly we got our first taste of this with the recently released Xperia 1 VII. It is said that Xperia 1 VII is the first of Sony’s premium phones produced by another company.
