You can start testing Xbox’s new copilot chatbot in the mobile app right now

It was just a matter of time but Microsoft now brings Copilot to Xbox. The company is starting to roll out a beta for Copilot for games for the Xbox app on Android and iOS. If you have the Beta version of the Xbox app installed on your phone, you can start testing out this new feature that starts today.

Like any chatbot, copilot for games will allow you to ask different questions, give answers, as well as links to more information if an answer includes online sources. However, this chatbot is explicitly designed to answer your game -related questions. according to MicrosoftThis early version of AI can answer questions about the game you are playing, your Xbox activity, your account and your play history and performance. You will also be able to use it to get recommendations on what to play.

To demonstrate what questions you can ask, Microsoft provided the following examples:

  • If you want to question a particular game or the game you are currently playing.
    • “Hi Copilot, can you remind me what materials I need to make a sword in Minecraft?”
  • If you want game recommendations.
    • “I love horror movies. Any suggestions for which game to play?”
  • If you have a matter of your play history or account.
    • “Hi Copilot, what is the rarest performance you can get in mind?”

Although these will be Copilot for Gaming’s preliminary abilities, it will have more features at an unspecified later time. Microsoft says it works by bringing “deeper personalization” and “richer gaming help” as proactive coaching.

If you are interested in trying out Copilot for games, the early test is rolled out in 53 marketsIncluding the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, Argentina and more. However, you have to be 18 years old, and it is only available in English for the time being. You can download the Android version of the Beta Xbox app on Google Play Store. If you don’t already have the Beta version of the Xbox app on iOS, Microsoft says you will still be able to get into early testing when Copilot for games comes to play bar on Windows PC.
