- A new leak reveals that Samsung’s upcoming UI 8 can come up with a new “Running Coach” feature.
- Ongoing coach will consider a user’s fitness level and present a personal training plan to help them achieve their running goals. Users will be considered to different levels, from beginner (level 1) to advanced (level 10).
- The feature will also use real-time heartbeat from Galaxy watches to determine the user’s training intensity.
After rolling out a Ui 7, Samsung has been discovered to work on the next update, A Ui 8. While the company remains mom about the details, different leaks have painted a fair picture of what you can expect from Android 16-Based update. Now a new leak shed light on the upcoming ongoing coach function within a UI 8, which will help users determine their current level of training and help them level up.
Per a leak from X user Gerwin van Giessen (detected via Sammobile), A Ui 8 will come up with a new feature called the Samsung Running Coach. Although not mentioned, this feature may logically be part of the Samsung Health app. We can spot a “Start On Watch” button and confirm that it will involve measurements through a Galaxy watch.

The leak suggests that users will be able to measure their current fitness level by running as far as they can in 12 minutes, while being guided through the measurement of the phone. When the training level is determined from level 1 to 10, the program will guide users to improve fitness gradually through a personal training plan.
Furthermore, running coach will use real-time heartbeat from a connected Galaxy watch to determine the user’s training intensity to help them train safely and efficiently.
Samsung has not yet shared information about a UI 8’s ongoing coach function, but it is quite clear that you need a galaxy to get the most out of it. The feature appears to depend on the SmartWatch machine, so there is hope that it will come to older Galaxy smartphones as well, instead of being locked to the newer crop. Nor do there appear to be any special hardware requirements on the SmartWatch page, so our fingers are crossed that this feature will work on relatively older wear and tear OS-based Galaxy watches as well.
