  • A new report strongly suggests that Exynos 2500 will debut in the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
  • Most regions will apparently get the Exynos chip, while the United States, China and Canada will stick to Snapdragon.
  • Samsung can favor exynos in folding substances due to cost and thermal performance benefits.

Samsung surprised some people earlier this year when it launched the Galaxy S25 lineup with Snapdragon chips across the board, despite long-lasting rumors of a new 3NM Exynos processor. If the latest report is to believe, the company would not have shelved the chip – just make it another debut.

according to Sammobilecites their own sources, Exynos 2500 will appear in Galaxy Z Flip 7which marks the first time an exynos chip has driven some of Samsung’s folding. Designed S5E9955, the chip is said to come to most markets globally, including India and South Korea. China, the United States and Canada are likely to stick to the Snapdragon 8 elite for the Galaxy chipset.

This backs up Reports from last monthWhich pointed to Exynos power for both Z Flip 7 and the rumor Z Flip 7 Fe. A source at that time quoted the price as an important factor, suggesting that Samsung was able to reduce the cost of using its own silicon in folding substances due to lower production volume than the Galaxy S line.

There is a significant upgrade on Exynos 2400.

In addition to cost considerations, thermal performance can also be part of the calculation. The Snapdragon 8 elite reportedly runs hot in ultra-thin phones like the Galaxy S25 Edge, so Z Flip 7’s compact design can benefit from the switch. Of course, real results do not always match the theory.

When it comes to the piece itself, Exynos 2500 is built on Samsung Foundry’s second gen 3nm process node. It is rumored to pack a 10-core CPU setup with a Cortex-X925 core of 3.3 GHz, an XClipse 950 GPU based on AMD RDNA 3.5 and 16MB L3 cache. There is a significant upgrade on Exynos 2400 used in Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, at least on paper.

With the Galaxy Z Flip 7 expected to be launched later this summer, we do not have to wait long to see how well Samsung’s latest piece is performing.
