Clearance -The cloud-based team communication platform launching a new feature that facilitates notifications checking. Users will now find a new “Mark as Reading” option when receiving a Slack notification. As the name suggests, this feature will mark the message as dealt with in the notification window, eliminating the need to manually open the Slack app and check the unadalted messages.
Option ‘Mark How Read’ on Slack
First identified By Android authority, the option to mark messages as read by notifications was introduced to Slack to Android. Although you can do it through various important combinations in the desktop, there was no way to take this quick action in the mobile app so far. To mark a message as read, you usually need to browse to the channel and touch the ‘Mark as Reading’ option.
However, the feature facilitates the provision of a new ‘mark as a reading’ option in the telephone notification window itself. It is said that it appears next to the existing To respond Option in the Slack For Android app, allowing you to respond to the message or simply mark -a as read.
This feature is currently only available for Slack for Android, and Gadgets 360 employees have managed to check their presence. However, not all members were able to see the new feature. It is expected to be part of a phase release and therefore it can take some time to reach all Slack users.
This is based on the recent addition 25 new artificial intelligence (There) Applications for Slack Marketplace earlier this month. Some of these applications are Asana, Adobe Express, Glean, Perplexity, Jasper and Wiz. By introducing these applications, it aims to improve the productivity of professionals, as they would not need to alternate between applications to complete tasks, according to the company.
From Asana and Wiz to Adobe Express and Perplexity, new applications focus on productivity, generation and analysis of content, sales and marketing and human resources (HR) and IT functions.
