According to a Space.com reportMerlin’s nine rocket engines closed about two and a half minutes after takeoff, followed by the separation of the stage. The landing was the 18th successful flight for the B1080 and its 12th for Starlink missions. The second internship continued towards its payload orbit to deploy its satellite payload.

The upper stage reached its target orbit and launched the 28 satellites one hour after takeoff. These satellites will enter their “operational” slots in the coming days. Once in orbit, they match the existing megaconstellation of over 7,200 satellites, creating an almost global mesh that will allow constant connectivity for customers who can point their terminals in the satellite matrix.
