There are a few requirements to use the Chromecast home panel with Google TV (or any Google TV device). You must be the owner or member of a home in the Google Home app to which your Google TV profile is connected. Your device must be set to default mode, not just apps or basic mode. You may also need to sign up for your home panel from your Google TV settings. And naturally, you need at least one smart home unit (other than the TV) added to your Google Home app.
How to activate home panel on chromecast with Google TV
If you don’t see the home panel automatically, that’s how you can activate it on Chromecast with Google TV:
- Open the quick setting dashboard by clicking the Settings icon at the top of the Google TV screen.
- Select Settings next to your profile icon.
- Navigate to Accounts and Login> User Profile> Google Home.
- Replace the home panel setting of or off, depending on your preference.
