Meta Has announced a comprehensive update for its Ray-Ban Meta-smart glasses, brings new frame styles, extended AI functions and wider accessibility in several markets. The update follows increasing interest in the deviceWhich quietly has become one of the more popular attempts at mainstream smart glasses.
The glasses now come in new cloud frames and lens options, including a chalk-gray model with color-changing transition lenses, as well as a more classic black variant available with either green or clear lenses. These new styles aim to expand the appeal to the glasses, which have already been praised for mixing Ray-Ban’s iconic designs with smart functionality.
On the software side, the most remarkable announcement is the broader release of Meta’s live translation feature. Previously available in limited regions, it now supports real -time conversations in English, French, Italian and Spanish across all supported markets. If you have downloaded the language packages in advance, the function without Wi-Fi or mobile data works. Users hear a translation through the glasses, and the other person can watch a live transcription on the phone screen.
Meta also adds deeper integration with Instagram. Users will soon be able to send and receive direct messages, voice and video calls, and share photos from Instagram using voice commands. These will, with existing support for WhatsApp, Messenger and Native SMS on the iPhone and Android.
Music support is also expanded beyond the United States and Canada.
