Phonepe UPI Circle feature with perfect payment authorization released in India

Phonepe UPI Circle It was released in India on Tuesday as a feature that allows a main user to authorize secondary users to make payments without their own bank account. Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), UPI Circle is designed to expand the use of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), while allowing supervised expenses. Phonepe’s rival Google Pay announced support for UPI Circle in August 2024, but the feature has not yet been released to users across the country.

Once UPI circle It is created, a “main” phone user can create “secondary” users that must be added to your circle. These users will have their own UPI IDS that can be used to purchase on -line or pay bills, and all transactions occur through the main user bank account.

The use of the UPI Circle feature on Phonepe can be controlled by the main user in two ways. When partial delegation mode is selected, the main user will receive a prompt to authorize all transactions started by a secondary user.

On the other hand, the complete delegation allows a main user to set a maximum limit of monthly spending for secondary users, and these transactions need not be approved manually. Main users can set any limit to RS. 15,000, and there is a limit of RS. 5,000 per transaction.

Main users can revoke access at any time and keep an eye on all transactions made by secondary users. Meanwhile, each secondary user may have a different monthly spending limit.

UPI Circle allows primary users to add up to five secondary users, but a secondary user can only be linked to one lead user at a time. A main user is notified after the completion of each transaction, even if the complete delegation is configured for secondary users.

Google Pay announced support for UPI Circle in August 2024, but the platform has not yet released the resource for all users in the country. Users can also try the UPI Circle resource through the Bharat interface for money (Bhim) application, which also supports the same functionality.
