- Honor has launched the Honor Power smartphone in China.
- The phone has a silicon carbon battery of 8,000 mAh, but maintains a relatively slim design.
- Honor said it will share global accessibility details “over time.”
The first phones with Silicon carbon batteries Arrived two years ago, and many Android Oem -have since embraced this technology. Now Honor has announced Honor Power, which offers an honest ridiculous battery for a mainstream smartphone.
Honor power is sent with a silicon carbon battery of 8000 mAh. It is twice as large as Galaxy S25‘s 4000 mAh battery and significantly larger than OnePlus 136,000 mAh battery. The company even claims that the phone has a larger battery than iPad Air (29.6Wh versus 28.93Wh). The phone also measures only 7.98 mm thick, except the camera shock.
In any case, a silicon carbon battery gives greater energy density than a conventional lithium battery. This means that companies can choose a larger battery in the same form factor or the same capacity in a smaller/leaner form factor. Obviously, honor is leaning against the previous approach.
When it comes to design, the power of honor has a center -mounted pill -shaped cutting equivalent to the iPhone and HONOR MAGIC 7 PRO. The brand also mentioned water resistance, but there is no word about the specific IP assessment.
Honor told Android Authority That it would share updates regarding the phone’s global availability “eventually.” We are a little worried that this phone will get a downgraded battery in some global markets, but the manufacturer was only able to say that it would share full specifications for global models closer to their launches.
This is a developing story. We update the article with more details.
