The Samsung Galaxy S20 series, including the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, has officially reached the end of the software update journey. Originally launched in 2020 with a four -year update boost, and the flagship trio got a bit of a postponement in April last year when Samsung gave them a lifeline and moved them to quarterly security updates instead of terminating the support completely.
The phones received the security update in March 2025 just a few days back, but now the repayment period is above. Samsung has removed the Galaxy S20 lineup from its official Update plan. This means that no more Android version updates or security updates for S20, S20 Plus or S20 Ultra (both LTE and 5G variants).
Software updates are crucial to keep your phone safe and go smoothly. Without them, your device is increasingly exposed to harmful software, security utilities and performance problems.
