One before the mission of French Sophie Adenot, the Cnes, starts the astronaut project for one day. More than 700 students, including 456 of the Toulouse Academy, are initiated in space adventure.
We do not leave neither alone or without preparation in space. 760 students take part in the first edition of “A Day” surgery to face the requirements of the astronaut profession, while they aroused their wish for science and space.
This project carried out by the National Center for Spatial Studies (CNES) A year before the departure of French Sophie Adenot for the International Space StationThe academies of Toulouse, Montpellier and Île de France are currently taking place in 47 universities. The fourth grade students are responsible for sitting in the shoes of a candidate during a selection of astronauts.

As during the recruitment tests, they are pending with logic tests and scientific puzzles. In this first part, 760 students (including 456 of the Toulouse Academy) are selected by teams of 4 people. So that they touch the importance of collective work, the 190 teams are randomly composed and the various facilities mix. The students do not know each other, they have to communicate with a cat remote and their answers are only valid if they have managed to agree during the test.
Finale at the Toulouse Space Festival
At the end of this first technical test, there are only ten teams of four College students. The finalists will be reloaded on May 17th Toulouse Space Festival. Then space for physical tests! This last step determines the winning team, which has the privilege, to rise to the Airbus A310 Zero G for a parabolic flight. A great opportunity to bring yourself closer to the sensations of astronauts for a day!
