- Google Search has a new Pokémon theme Easter eggs.
- You can capture the original 151 Pokémon by searching their names.
- Every Pokémon you catch will get closer to earning masterballs that can be used to catch legendary or mythical Pokémon.
It is not uncommon for Google to occasionally inject some fun into the search experience. For example around the time the movie Evil Come out, the company had an Easter egg where the search results floated upwards like bubbles rising from a litter. Now Google has a new Easter egg for all the hopeful Pokémon Masters out there.
If you have recently googled a Pokémon while on your phone, you may have noticed a pretty recognizable sphere hanging near the lower corner of the screen. That sphere is a Poké ball, and it is part of Google’s last Easter eggs. The original 151 Pokémon Hides on Google search, and you can catch (or search) them all.

The way it works is that you enter a Pokémon name in the search box and hit Enter. You should see a Poké ball in the lower right corner. Tap the Poké ball, and Pokémon will jump out of the side of the screen so you can catch it. After it is trapped, you can check out all the critics stored in your collection. As you continue to catch new Pokémon, you will serve master balls that can be used to capture legendary and mythical Pokémon.
This Easter egg is only available on mobile. Remember that you will be logged into your Google account, as it is necessary to save the progress.
