Chatgpt has quickly become one of the most popular tools among students to study, write and research. Now Openai makes it even more accessible by offering a free two months Chatgpt plus Subscription to qualified students in the United States and Canada. What is great is that the offer has come just in time for the last months of this academic year.
The campaign, announced By Openai CEO Sam Altman in a post of X, started on March 31 and is available until 31 May 2025. Students registered full-time or part-time at accredited degree challenging institutions in the United States or Canada are eligible to apply.
What includes chatgpt plus?
Chatgpt Plus offers a significant upgrade over the free version of Chatgpt. Subscribers can switch between GPT-4O, O1, O3-Mini and O3-Mini-high models. They also get access to GPT-4.5, which is in preview right now and is Openi’s best model for chat.
Chatgpt Plus also gives users faster response times, prioritized access during rush hour and improved accuracy, making it ideal for students juggling tasks. The Plus plan also supports image input, file uploads and customized instructions, which can be particularly useful for personal learning.
How to require the Free Chatgpt Plus offer?
In order to access the Free Chatgpt Plus offer, students must verify registration through Sheerid, a secure verification service that checks against official university databases, such as a school’s office for the registrar. In some cases, students may be asked to log in using the institution’s single signing system or upload support documents.
Even current chatgpt plus subscribers who are students can take advantage of the offer. Once confirmed, their accounts will automatically be credited two free months.
That said, not all schools may be eligible for the offer. Students must complete the confirmation process to check the qualification.
When the two-month offer period is over, the Chatgpt Plus subscription will automatically renew at the default monthly speed unless it is canceled.
