  • Plex Pass prices will be more expensive from April 29, 2025.
  • The new prices will be $ 6.99/month, $ 69.99/year and $ 249.99/lifetime.
  • The price bump will not apply if you have an existing lifetime subscription or buyer life plan before the deadline.

As streaming services such as Netflix, Max and Paramount Plus have been regularly raising prices, Plex Has kept strong and kept subscription prices the same. However, after over 10 years without a price shock, it looks like the dam has finally broken.

In a new blog post, the company announced That you will soon have to pay more for Plex Pass. If you are not familiar with the Plex Pass, there is an optional subscription that gives you access to several features such as Ship Intro, skipping credits and coils back on CV. At the moment, you can choose a monthly, annual or lifetime plan for $ 4.99, $ 39.99 and $ 119.99 respectively. However, as of April 29, 2025, these prices will jump up to $ 6.99, $ 69.99 and $ 249.99.

If you are currently on a life’s subscription, the price increase will not apply to you. Plex also says you can avoid the price increase if you buy a lifetime plan before April 29.

Along with the increased subscription costs, Plex makes a few changes in the services. As of the bad news, it looks like external playback will no longer be a free feature. If you do not want to pay for Plex Pass to access external playback, you will now be able to buy the Separate feature as Remote Watch Pass for $ 1.99/Month or $ 19.99/Year.

When it comes to the good news, Plex is now removing the one-minute playback restriction when flocking content from a Plex Media server. This means that you do not have to pay the one -time activation fee to get rid of the restriction.
