A report from Clock states that Samsung is working hard to develop Exynos 2500 and 2600 in parallel. Previous rumors have pointed out that Samsung targeted Galaxy Z Flip 7 as the device to receive the 2500 chip. This report confirms that it was actually the plan, but lingering problems with the processor’s development have led Samsung to change strategy.
Although the company has had a tough time with the development of Exynos 2500, SOC has not yet been given up. It is alleged that Samsung is now looking at the Galaxy Z Flip Fe to be the recipient of Exynos 2500. It is said that Samsung now begins mass production of the processor for the unit. However, the report mentions that the plan has not been completed and that there are mixed opinions, even in the mobile experience division.
“Exynos 2500 production plan is continuously changing,” an industrial insider told the outlet. “I thought it was for sure, but I heard the opportunity recently gone down a bit.”
No matter what Samsung decides, it looks like the company will have plenty of time to find out. It has been reported that the Galaxy Z Flip Fe will not start until several months after the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung has not yet set a date for the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. There is a good chance that they will be released at about the same time of the year as the last generation, which happened in July.
