The Samsung Pass was originally only a password manager in the beginning, but it eventually developed to save debit cards and other data. In an attempt to clean up the ecosystem, the company merged Samsung Pass with Samsung pay To create an app called Wallet. With the wallet as the successor, the technology giant plans to phase out a passport. If you are still using a passport, Samsung is now sending out reminders to migrate over to the wallet before the sunsets pass.
according to CommunityPassport users are starting to receive a Samsung notice that encourages them to switch to your wallet. The notification mentions that the Autofill Services from Pass can now be used in the wallet via quick access.
It also adds that the Pass app icon will disappear when you migrate, but your data from Pass will be available in your wallet. While the icon will no longer be there, users will “add a Samsung Passport Point through the” Shortcut “feature given in the Samsung Wallet.”
In short, you do not lose anything by switching to your wallet. Since its launch in 2022, the Samsung Wallet has now assumed all passage tasks, while also adding support for digital assets, digital keys and so on.
