Conferences, Cinema-Debates, funny workshops … From March 10th to 16th, 2025, the brain week invites Toulouse to explore the secrets of our gray substance.
The 27ᵉ edition of the Brain Week will take place in Toulouse from March 10 to 16, 2025 and offers the general public a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of neurosciences. This international event organizes in more than 100 French cities and aims to raise awareness of the importance of brain research.
In Toulouse, a rich program awaits curious people, with conferences, cinema debates and workshops, which are led by renowned researchers. Let us quote the opening conference “What are the bees” by Mathieu Lihoreau, researcher at CNRS, on Monday at 6.30 p.m.
On Tuesday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m., the Quai des Savoir offers an interactive quiz that was encouraged by Perrine Bonavita, a doctoral student at Animal Cognition Research Center, which relates to the behavior of social insects.
The cinema goers can take part in the demonstration of the film “Vice Versa 2” by Kelsey Mann, followed by a debate with the researchers Lionel Moulédous and Emmanuel Barbeau on Tuesday, March 11th, at 8:30 p.m.
On Thursday, March 13th at 6.30pm, Sonia Harmand, CNRS researcher, presented a conference entitled “From the tool to think: What did the first hominids have done 3 million years ago?” in the Toulouse Museum.
For families, funny and pedagogical workshops entitled “Discover your brain!” Is offered on Saturday, March 15th at 2:30 p.m.
On Sunday, March 16, at 5:00 p.m., Vincent Fourcassié, research director of the CNRS, will organize a conference on the travel of crowds and lessons from the colonies of the ants in the Quai des Savoir.
