Apple MacBook Air M2: The best option for most people

Now that the new Apple MacBook Air M4 is around, Apple MacBook Air M2 is actually two generations behind. That being said, we still believe that it is the best option for most people, especially at these drop-dead prices. I mean, it’s only $ 699! There is a much better offer when it comes to how far you can stretch your dollar, and it’s actually a fantastic machine.
In fact, I considered upgrading to the brand new M4 model, but realized that it was mostly because of the tension. I own the same M2 version and have never seen it slowly on me. The M2 chip and 16 GB of RAM do an excellent job of keeping track of any app I throw on it. In fact, I use it to edit raw images, and many of my co-workers have used M2 to edit 4K videos seamlessly. Most regular users will be completely satisfied with this laptop’s performance.

And remember that this is still a Premium Apple laptop. Everything else if it’s great. The metallic construction looks and feels very good. It also has a backlit keyboard and a large glass control surface, which is quite difficult to get to these pricing points elsewhere.
As soon as you lift the lid, you will be welcomed by a 13.6-inch screen. It is on the smaller side, for sure, but this also keeps the computer more compact and portable, which is the MacBook Air Series’ main extinguishing. Screen size aside, the screen is actually quite impressive. It has really sharp 2,560 x 1,664 resolution most other competitors struggle to beat. Most other similar size options only get 1,080p or 1 440p resolutions. Not only that but it can reproduce DCI-P3 Color GamutWhich makes it very colored. The lifetime of the battery is also as good as the newer MacBook is sent up to 18 hours.
Apple MacBook Air M3: If you want a performance increase
If you have more specialized needs and really want a performance increase, you still have the Apple MacBook Air M3, which is also very severely reduced right now, with a low price of $ 799. This is still a very good deal if you really need a steak processor.
That said, the M3 chip is about the only most important upgrade you come here. You will not even be able to distinguish them from each other just by looking at them. The design, dimensions and even the weight are exactly the same. You get the same metal design, backlit keyboard, fantastic screen and even the same 18-hour battery life.
There are some more less improvements you may or don’t care about. You get the Wi-Fi 6e support, unlike Wi-Fi 6. That said, you need a compatible router and fast enough internet speeds to really notice a difference in Wi-Fi performance. It also gets a slightly better microphone, thanks to voice insulation and improved clarity. Everything else is pretty much the same!
Of course, the main advantage of upgrading to this version will be a good increase in performance. Apart from that, the other improvements are more less. You get the Wi-Fi 6e instead of Wi-Fi 6And the microphone is a little better, thanks to voice insulation and improved clarity.
What about Apple MacBook Air M4?
We really would not recommend the brand new MacBook Air M4, given how much value both the M2 and M3 versions really offer right now. When it comes to appearance, this is still exactly the same as the previous two versions, except for a new color. It is a new sky blue hue, which replaces room gray. It looks pretty cool, so if you really want that color, it’s just available on the Apple MacBook Air M4 for now.
Of course, you also get the last M4 chip, which is definitely more powerful. So if M2 and M3 are not enough for you, the M4 is the best you can come here. It also has an option to upgrade to 32 GB, while the previous models topped on 24 GB. The webcam is also better and offers a 12MP center camera with support for desk views. The former Airs get a simpler 1,080p webcam.
