- Mediaks Dimensity 7400 chips are 4NM Octa-Core components with emphasis on effect efficiency.
- Both pieces offer AI features thanks to MediaTex NPU 6.0, and focuses on gaming and camera performance.
- Mediatek also introduces its 6NM dimensity 6400 for even more affordable priced units.
Perhaps the biggest mistake you can make when talking about Android smartphones is just looking at the flagship. Sure, everyone loves a flashy new high-end model with a refined eye for design and with the most compelling innovative features, but when it comes to the phones that run the most sales, it’s middle area and budget hand set That everyone buys. Even phones a few rings down the ladder from the top can still benefit from new progress, and today we learn about some of the next pieces that come for this type of Mediatek hardware, as the company announces its dimensity 7400 and 6400 settings.
Last fall Media introduced its new flagship silicon, Dimensity 9400as well as more intermediate -focused Dimensity 8400. These models now get with Dimensity 7400, 7400x and 6400.

With the dimensity 7400 and 7400X, the name of the game is efficiency, and Mediatek emphasizes the lower power consumption of these 4NM chips – up to 36% less than peers. This is 2025, you can’t launch a new smartphone silicon without talking about the AI, and the 7400 series has MediaTeks NPU 6.0 with 15% improved performance over 7300. And when we talk about them, like Dimensity 7300x before it, it has the new 7400X a certain bonus functionality for foldingness, and allows it to easily support a secondary external screen.
When it comes to AI features, the 7400 chips prioritize prioritization of camera and gaming performance. The benefits include improvement of cameras with little light and optimization of game settings to take advantage of the phone resources that can change moments to moments.
Both 7400 models are Octa-Core chips containing four arm cortex-A78 cores and four arm cortex-A55 cores, clocked as quickly as 2.6 GHz and 2.0 GHz. Meanwhile, the Dimensity 6400 is placed for even further budget price hardware, with a few arm Cortex-A76 cores and reaching six Arm Cortex-A55 cores, all built on a 6NM process.
So far we have not heard of any specific phones that set up to run some of these pieces, but we are sure it will not be a long time before we hear more about where we can first hope to experience them.
