  • A YouTube video shows what appears to be a functioning Galaxy S25 edge, giving us a first real look at the device.
  • The phone just looks a little thicker than the unfolded galaxy z -fold 6, suggesting it may be below 6 mm thin.
  • The video confirms important specifications, including a Snapdragon 8 elite chip, 12 GB/256 GB of storage and a 4000 mAh battery.

With smartphone marks leaning into step -by -step upgrades over the years, the industry has searched for its next big sales argument, and making phones thinner seems to be the answer for now. While Galaxy S25 series Received a somewhat lukewarm response at the recent launch, Samsung made sure to tease an upcoming unit, the Galaxy S25 EdgeDuring the unpacked event – perhaps in an attempt to inject some tension into the flagship position. Now, thanks to a new video, we have our first real look at the device in action. (H/T: Sammobile)

Youtu Alexis garza Managed to get hold of what appears to be a fully functional galaxy S25 edge and shared a short demo of the device. While the video is in Spanish, it provides some valuable insight into what Samsung is making.

Garzas Video compares the S25 edge with the unfolded galaxy z -fold 6, which measures 5.6 mm in thickness when unfolded. The S25 edge looks just a little thicker in the video, which means it can be below 6 mm thick, a significant reduction compared to the standard Galaxy S25’s 7.2 mm thickness.

Beyond the slim profile, the video also gives us a look at some of the phone’s hardware, with permission from the AIDA64 app running on the device. According to the app, the Galaxy S25 edge of the Snapdragon 8 elite chipset, supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Other confirmed details include Bluetooth 5.4 support and a 4000 mAh battery, which is significantly less than what to expect on flagship Android phones, but at least on par with the smallest Galaxy S25.

The AIDA64 app also reports three 12MP cameras, but the phone has only two back lenses, suggesting the third sensor is the Selfie camera. While a 12MP Ultrawide sensor is expected, it will be unusual for Samsung to use a 12MP primary camera. However, the AIDA64 shows the resolution as images stored instead of the sensor’s full megapixel. This means that the primary sensor can still be the rumored 50MP or even the 200MP option, using pixel bin to catch 12MP shots.

When it comes to when we see the Galaxy S25 Edge officially launches, Samsung keeps quiet for now. There are speculations that the phone can be unveiled with Samsung’s next generation foldable folding, probably in July. If Samsung is eager to push the ultra-thin phone into the spotlight, we can see that debut even before.
