In 2025, the Ciel d’Coccitanie Association began a new phase in its commitment to the spread of scientific knowledge. With the start of a conference cycle in Ariège, complex topics should be accessible by combining recognized specialists with pedagogical and interactive formats.
These conferences will cover a wide range of topics, from astronomy to social sciences to ecology and technologies. For this first edition, the Sarah Anderson association, a postdoctoral researcher at Marseille Astrophysics Laboratory (AMU/CNE/CNRS), specialists for small celestial bodies. His work focuses on the analysis of comets and asteroids, witnesses of the first age of the solar system.
The astronomical observatory of Cap de Guzet for 2026
On Saturday, February 22nd, a conference entitled “Construction of the solar system from A to Z” from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. A journey through time addresses the formation of planets, their structure and singularity of giants and Jupiter.
This meeting is accessible to everyone and offers a unique opportunity to better understand the history of our solar system and the forces it shaped. The entrance is free and open to everyone.
This start is an important year for Ciel d’Coccitany, which continues its facility in couserans. In addition to the conferences, the association concludes the construction of the astronomical observatory Cap de Guzet, the opening of which is planned for the public for 2026. It will also take part in important events such as the nights of the Equinocto in March and the Toulouse Space Festival in May.
Ciel d’Capitany was founded by seven amateur astronomers and works for the democratization of sciences and the accessibility of knowledge. His commitment to the inclusion, especially in people with disabilities, makes it an important player in scientific mediation in the region.
