This would be a major extension of Gboard’s proofreading skills, which have only been available in English in the United States so far. So this extension opens the door to have more markets around the world. This will also be good news for pixelists in general, as it is not uncommon for pixel functions to be limited to English and/or the United States first.
Regardless, the proofreading feature of GBOARD generative AI uses to correct the spelling, grammar and punctuation. Users can simply press the “Fix IT” button when GBOARD detects errors with written or dictated text. While apps that Grammarly already offer this opportunity, native integration into GBOARD can be more convenient for many users.
