Meta Smart glasses have come a long way since its launch back in 2023. In fact, the company recently announced that over 1 million units were sold in 2024. This success appears to have put some wind behind social media -giant’s sail as it plans to launch six new AI wearables This year.
Business Insider Has shared a note from Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth, which was sent to employees in November. The leaked note, entitled “2025: The Year of Greatness,” reveals the company’s plans for 2025.
Bosworth mentions that they will continue to “push our advantage”, which probably refers to their Ray-Ban-smart glasses. It then continues by revealing that the meta intends to release “half a dozen” several portable appliances in 2025.

Starting six hardware products that year would be a record for the organization. However, it is important to remember that this note is a few months old at this time. It is possible that meta could have changed the strategy since then.
But if it releases all six products, what will these wearables be? There are reports that the company wants to launch a new pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses with a built-in screen. It is also believed that we could get Oakley-style AR glasses for athletes the code name Hypernova. We also know that meta is working on Project Orionshown during the Meta Connect conference.
Ai wearables has a moment in the industry right now. Google,, Appleand Samsung Also, everyone works with their own AI-driven headset and glasses. But as Bosworth referred, the meta has the inside of the track at the moment.
