Vincent Roberti’s visit focused on educational innovation and the evaluation of mathematics in Beaumont-de-Lomagne (Tarn-ET-Garonne). He also submitted his own doctoral thesis in the museum.
This is not the first time that Vincent Roberti, Prefect of Tarn-E-Garonne, made the Fermat Museum honored and the pleasure of his visit.
At the beginning of July 2024, he was one of the first to be presented. At the beginning of the year, he met during a new visit in this emblematic place, one of the first museums of French mathematics outside the capital, the students of the Beaumont primary school, accompanied by Emmanuelle Sainvet. The students were often requested by the Fermat Science team to examine the workshops before young school age throughout France and Europe.
After this immersion in the sensitive experience of mathematics, the important visitor had the premiere of Fermat’s precious works, which was presented to him by Maryvonne Spiesser, Vice President of Fermat Science. An edition of the 17th century from the “Varia Opera Mathematica”, one of the first museums of French mathematics outside the capital and several volumes of the works of the mathematician, which was published by the French state at the end of the 19th century.
A very learned thesis
As for the exhibition on artificial intelligence, which was finally available in Beaumont after collecting a great success in the Maison of the Maths et de l’I Computation de Lyon and opening the PoinCaré House in Paris. Class. In order to meet general satisfaction, Vincent Roberti, who is enthusiastic about mathematics, presented even the manuscript of his doctoral thesis entitled “Structural Control: Theories and Applications”.
